Coach Smith has been the head wrestling coach at Mizzou for over 20 years and has turned them into an absolute powerhouse program. During his tenure at Mizzou, Coach Smith has been named coach of the year several times for the NWCA, MAC, Big 12, and Dan Gable Coach of the Year. He’s coached wrestling and MMA greats such as Ben Askren, J’den Cox, Mark Ellis, Michael Chandler, Tyron Woodley, and more. 

The Mizzou wrestling program is known for its “Tiger Style” wrestling and culture. During our conversation, Coach Smith breaks down the aspects of “Tiger Style” and how it has helped build the program and athletes for success on the mats and beyond.
